These terms apply when you browse beachbumbikes.com or buy from Beach Bum Bikes ("we", "us", "our"), an Australian business based in Agnes Water, Queensland. By using our website or placing an order you agree to these terms. Please read them together with our Shipping Policy, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.

1. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in these terms or our other policies limits those rights.

2. Our products

  • We sell electric bikes, parts and accessories. We do our best to describe and photograph products accurately, but colours, finishes and minor specifications can vary slightly. Stated range figures are estimates and depend on rider weight, terrain, assist level, temperature and battery age.
  • Our e-bikes are pedal-assist bikes intended for use on Australian roads and paths. Road rules for e-bikes differ between states and territories. It's your responsibility to ride legally, wear an approved helmet, and follow local road rules.
  • Some bikes arrive partly assembled. Please follow the included instructions or have the bike checked by a qualified bike mechanic before riding. Contact us if anything is unclear.
  • Kids' e-bikes must be used with appropriate adult supervision and in line with the manufacturer's age and weight guidance.

3. Prices and payment

  • All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
  • The total, including any delivery charge, is shown at checkout before you pay.
  • If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full. We'll contact you first and give you the option to buy at the correct price.
  • Payments are processed securely by our payment providers. We don't store your full card details.

4. Orders

An order is accepted when we send you an order confirmation email. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is out of stock, we can't deliver to your address, or we suspect fraud. If we cancel, we'll refund any amount you've paid in full.

5. Shipping and delivery

We currently deliver within Australia. Delivery costs and timeframes are set out in our Shipping Policy. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

6. Returns, refunds and warranty

Change-of-mind returns are handled under our Refund Policy. If a product is faulty, not as described, or doesn't meet a consumer guarantee, contact us and we'll arrange a repair, replacement or refund as required by the Australian Consumer Law, including reasonable return shipping costs. Any manufacturer's warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Reviews and content you share

If you submit a review, photo or video, you confirm it's your own honest experience. You also give us permission to display it on our website and marketing channels. We may remove content that is offensive, misleading or unrelated to the product.

8. Website use and intellectual property

The content on this website, including text, photos, logos and design, belongs to us or our suppliers. You may not copy or reuse it for commercial purposes without our permission. Please don't misuse the website, for example by attempting to interfere with its operation.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, and apart from the guarantees in section 1, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by misuse, modification, lack of maintenance or riding contrary to road rules or the product instructions. Where our liability can be limited, it is limited to repairing or replacing the goods, or paying the cost of doing so.

10. Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place an order is the one that applies to that order.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
